Meet Alea Nadeem

Veteran. Patriot. Political Outsider.

Alea Nadeem is a proud daughter of Ohio, a military officer, and an independent-minded conservative who has never forgotten her roots—or why America must come first. Raised in Toledo in a hardworking union family, Alea embodies the grit and heartland values that define northwest Ohio. In response to the 9/11 attacks, she answered the call to defend our country by enlisting in the United States Air Force.

Now a Lieutenant Colonel and Commander of a Security Forces Squadron in the Air National Guard, Alea has held critical roles as a special agent, intelligence officer, advising on military strategy and national security policy at the Pentagon, the National Security Council, and deployed to defeat terrorism. Alea has served all around the United States, but always brought her midwest work ethic with her and she knows how to Get Stuff Done!

As a former Military Congressional Fellow and U.S. Senate Air Force liaison, she understands how Washington works—and more importantly, how it’s failing the American people.

Throughout her career, Alea has fought to ensure our servicewomen were equipped to be lethal and effective—not political pawns in a progressive agenda.  As a lifelong athlete and advocate for women, she believes the DEI agenda went too far and is having the same negative impact on women in the military as it is on girls’ sports.

Alea’s story is one of survival and strength. As a child, she endured life under Saddam Hussein’s regime in Iraq—including a period of captivity—after being kidnapped by her father. That experience lit a fire in her soul as experienced a lack of freedom, something she enjoyed in the United States. She understands what makes America special – our freedom! She knows what tyranny looks like, and she knows America must never surrender to it.

Alea Nadeem isn’t a career politician. She is a patriot with the service to prove it. She is running for Congress to bring accountability back to Washington, restore common sense, and put America first—because Ohio deserves leaders who fight for our factories, our farms, our families, and our freedoms. After 40 years of the same leadership in Congress, it’s clear that northwest Ohio can aim higher and demand better.

Alea holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology from the University of New Mexico and a master’s in social work from University Southern California. But her real qualifications come from a lifetime of service, sacrifice, and standing firm in the face of adversity. Her uniform doesn’t endorse her campaign—but it says everything about the kind of leader she is.
