Alea Nadeem, a U.S. Air Force veteran, has announced her intention to run for Congress, targeting the seat currently held by Democrat Marcy Kaptur.

A member of the Central Catholic High School class of 2003, the Republican hopeful is a lieutenant colonel in the Air National Guard. She served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, immediately after graduating high school.
