Release: Alea Nadeem Responds to Marcy Kaptur’s Vote Against Reconciliation Bill
Toledo, OH – Alea Nadeem released the following statement in response to Marcy Kaptur voting against the interests of the people of northwest Ohio:
“Marcy Kaptur has lost touch with northwest Ohio, and it is evident by her vote against the Big Beautiful Bill. She is no longer independent-minded, and she is putting partisan politics ahead of the people of her district. She voted against tax cuts for working Americans, to protect illegal immigrants, and for a giant tax hike encouraging companies to send jobs overseas. There is still more work to do on reducing the deficit, and I’m hopeful in the next three years this will be addressed as the future of our country depends on it,” Nadeem said. “In Congress, I’ll fight for tax cuts and policies that help the middle class and union workers, while remaining independent-minded.”
Kaptur voted against:
- No tax on tips
- No tax on overtime
- Increased deductions for Social Security income
- Eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse in critical safety net programs
- Securing the border and deporting violent criminals
- Increasing American energy production
