Toledo, OH – Today AIr Force officer and conservative Republican Alea Nadeem issued the following statement in response to another attempted assassination of President Trump and members of his administration at the White House Correspondents Dinner:

“For the third time, someone tried to assassinate President Donald Trump. Thank God he and our nation’s leaders are safe. And to the Secret Service agent who took a bullet in the line of duty—you are a hero,”Nadeem said. “President Trump is targeted because he stands in the way of a radical agenda and efforts to tear down the values that built this country. He stands for secure borders, a strong military, American workers, and common sense.”

“This must stop. Leaders in both parties have a duty to lower the temperature, tell the truth, and reject political violence—without exception. I’ve worn the uniform of this country, and I know what real threats look like. We will not let evil or violence decide America’s future,” Nadeem added.

“This week, I was in the same location of where this shooting took place. I attended the 113th First Lady luncheon which was peaceful and amazing, only to have this happen two days later is disturbing. I’ve paused to think about how disappointing this is what our nation has become — murdering people because we disagree. We are better than that; and we will get through this.  God bless the President, our law enforcement, and the United States of America,” Nadeem concluded.
