Toledo, OH – Conservative Republican Alea Nadeem, a Toledo native, Air Force veteran, and candidate for Congress in OH-09, released the following statement after announcing campaign fundraising numbers for the last three months of 2025:

“I am grateful from the bottom of my heart for every patriot across Ohio and America who invested in my campaign. I would not be here without the generous support of Ohioans who want change. As northwest Ohio Republicans begin to evaluate their options, they are recognizing that if we want to beat Marcy Kaptur, we must do something different,” Nadeem said. “We won’t defeat Kaptur with recycled candidates, career politicians weighed down by baggage, or consultant-driven campaigns designed to enrich insiders instead of winning elections. The reason Kaptur doesn’t want to run against me is simple — I’ll make this race about her disastrous liberal record, and this time, she won’t be able to dodge accountability.”

Alea Nadeem’s campaign and affiliated committees raised nearly $180,000 in Q4. Since launching her campaign, over 8,000 individual donors contributed to Alea’s campaign from all parts of the 9th District, Ohio, and across the country. As a first-time candidate without deep ties to politics and donors, Alea has raised as much as anyone else in the primary field and has already half of what the 2024 prior candidate raised during entire campaign – with 10 months to go.
